Come With a Specific Leadership Challenge
Your Situation Is the Starting Point
Every participant must identify a specific leadership problem, difficult situation, decision, or anticipated challenge they are willing to share with the mastermind group.
The challenge should be one you are currently experiencing or reasonably expect to encounter in your professional responsibilities.
For example, you may be:
-
Dealing with a difficult working relationship that affects your team.
-
Facing resistance to a decision or necessary change.
-
Uncertain how to address employee behavior or performance.
-
Managing conflicting priorities or stakeholder expectations.
-
Preparing for a difficult conversation with a colleague, supervisor, or team member.
-
Trying to influence people when you do not have formal authority.
-
Facing a situation that could affect your credibility or professional relationships.
-
Anticipating a change in responsibilities and uncertain how to manage its leadership implications.
-
Recognizing a recurring team problem without understanding its underlying causes.
-
Considering several possible actions but uncertain which direction to take.
You must be prepared to describe your situation to the group, explain what concerns you, and identify the question or decision for which you need greater clarity.
You do not need to have all the facts or know the solution before attending. Examining the situation is part of the mastermind process.
Your challenge does need to be appropriate for confidential professional discussion. Participants must omit identifying patient information and any other information they are not authorized to share.
Why a Micro-Focused Mastermind?
Different Perspectives Can Help You See What You Have Not Considered
When you are directly involved in a difficult leadership situation, your understanding is influenced by your responsibilities, relationships, experience, and available information.
Other healthcare professionals may recognize factors you have overlooked.
They may have experienced similar circumstances, handled competing stakeholder interests, or learned from decisions that produced unexpected consequences.
Â
This mastermind gives each participant the opportunity to draw on those perspectives.
Â
The group is limited to four participants so that every person can receive focused attention.
Â
During the four weekly sessions:
-
Each participant brings an actual or anticipated leadership challenge.
-
One participant receives extended attention during a dedicated challenge discussion.
-
Other participants ask questions, contribute relevant experiences, and offer perspectives.
-
The group examines possible explanations, options, consequences, and next steps.
-
Every participant considers how the discussion may apply to their own circumstances.
Each participant receives one dedicated challenge discussion during the four-week program and contributes to the examination of the other participants' situations.
Â
The objective is not for the group to decide what you should do. It is to help you understand your challenge more fully and make better-informed decisions.
Confidentiality and Protection of Your Information
Every Participant Agrees to a Nondisclosure Agreement During Registration
Leadership challenges can involve sensitive professional relationships, workplace concerns, organizational decisions, and matters that participants would not normally discuss in an open setting.
To establish clear expectations for the mastermind, every participant must review and agree to a written Nondisclosure and Group Confidentiality Agreement as part of the registration process, before participating in any group session.
The agreement will address the confidentiality of information shared by other participants, restrictions on unauthorized disclosure, and expectations for professional conduct.
All participants will also be required to:
-
Respect the confidentiality of other members' discussions.
-
Share only information they are authorized to disclose.
-
Avoid identifying patients or disclosing protected health information.
-
Remove unnecessary identifying details about employees, colleagues, and organizations.
-
Refrain from recording or distributing group discussions.
-
Respect differing perspectives and participate professionally.
The agreement establishes contractual expectations but cannot guarantee that information will never be disclosed.
Participation does not replace formal organizational reporting requirements, clinical responsibilities, or applicable legal obligations.
Professional discretion and mutual respect are essential to the value of this mastermind.

Why Individual Coaching Is Included Every Week
Your Challenge Requires Attention to Your Circumstances
Although members may face similar leadership problems, no two situations are identical.
Your responsibilities, authority, workplace relationships, organizational expectations, and desired outcomes influence your available options.
Each week, you receive a private 30-minute coaching session.
These sessions provide an opportunity to:
-
Examine insights gained from the mastermind discussion.
-
Explore aspects of your situation that require individual attention.
-
Clarify your desired outcome and the factors influencing your decisions.
-
Evaluate possible actions and their implications.
-
Prepare for important conversations or leadership decisions.
-
Review actions taken and determine what needs attention next.
The mastermind broadens your perspective. Individual coaching helps you decide what those insights mean for your situation.
Your Four-Week Leadership Clarity Experience
Week 1 — Establish the Challenge and Begin Group Examination
Each participant briefly introduces their leadership challenge and identifies the area in which they need clarity.
The group establishes expectations for confidentiality, participation, constructive inquiry, and mutual accountability.
The first participant receives a dedicated challenge discussion.
Individual coaching: Clarify your own challenge, the outcome you want, and the questions requiring further examination.
Week 2 — Examine Perspectives, Assumptions, and Options
The group reviews developments since the previous meeting and focuses its extended discussion on the second participant's challenge.
Members explore relevant perspectives, stakeholder interests, possible explanations, and available choices.
Individual coaching: Examine the insights relevant to your situation and evaluate possible responses.
Week 3 — Consider Decisions, Responsibilities, and Action
The third participant receives the dedicated group discussion.
The group continues examining practical options, consequences, working relationships, and how leadership decisions can be translated into action.
Individual coaching: Identify appropriate next steps, prepare for important conversations, and consider potential obstacles.
Week 4 — Consolidate Insights and Determine Next Steps
The fourth participant receives the dedicated challenge discussion.
Each member also reviews progress, remaining uncertainties, and the actions they intend to take after the mastermind concludes.
Individual coaching: Finalize your personalized 30-day leadership action plan, including priorities, actions, stakeholders, and progress-review points.
Your Personalized 30-Day Leadership Action Plan
The objective is to leave the mastermind with a clearer understanding of your challenge and a practical course of action.
Your individual plan may include:
-
A clear description of the leadership situation requiring attention
-
The outcome you want to achieve
-
Stakeholders and relationships influencing the situation
-
Information or assumptions requiring further examination
-
Actions within your responsibilities and authority
-
Conversations or decisions that need to occur
-
Potential risks and obstacles
-
Immediate priorities and next steps
-
Measures or observations you will use to assess progress
You identify the priorities. You make the decisions. You build the plan, and you retain it for your continued use.
Not every leadership problem can be resolved within four weeks. The program is designed to help you develop clearer understanding, assess your choices, and proceed with greater purpose.

The Healthcare Leadership Clarity Accelerator is designed for healthcare professionals who have a meaningful leadership challenge and want to examine it with a small group of peers and a professional coach.
It may be particularly valuable for:
-
Nurse managers facing team or stakeholder difficulties
-
Charge nurses navigating leadership responsibilities without extensive formal authority
-
Healthcare supervisors confronting communication, performance, or coordination problems
-
Department leaders dealing with competing expectations or organizational change
-
EMS leaders facing supervisory and team-effectiveness challenges
-
Allied healthcare professionals responsible for coordinating people and work
-
Emerging leaders preparing for an anticipated leadership situation
-
Experienced leaders who need fresh perspectives on a difficult decision
You do not need to be new to leadership.
You do need a specific challenge to examine, a willingness to share it appropriately, and a commitment to contribute to the discussions of other participants.
What This Program Is — and What It Is Not
This is a challenge-centered, professionally facilitated mastermind supported by individual coaching.
It is not a general introduction to leadership skills, a certification program, or a Working Genius assessment workshop.
It is not intended to investigate workplace complaints, adjudicate personnel disputes, provide clinical advice, or replace organizational decision-making processes.
The program works best when participants are prepared to examine their own assumptions, consider different perspectives, respect confidentiality, and take responsibility for determining their next steps.
